Business Development Intern

About the Role

We are looking for an energetic and motivated Business Development Intern who is interested in building a career in the Mutual Fund and Financial Services industry.

The intern will work closely with our Business Development and Mutual Fund Operations team to understand client acquisition, investment products, SIPs, mutual fund distribution, customer communication, lead management and relationship building.

This role is ideal for students or freshers from Finance, Commerce, Marketing or Management backgrounds who want practical exposure to the Mutual Fund industry.

• Identify and approach potential clients for Mutual Fund investment opportunities.
• Generate leads through calls, references, field activities, social media and other business development channels.
• Understand the financial requirements and basic investment objectives of prospective clients.
• Explain Mutual Fund concepts such as SIP, Lump Sum, Equity Funds, Debt Funds, Hybrid Funds and other investment products in simple language.
• Assist clients with the initial Mutual Fund onboarding process.
• Follow up with prospective clients and maintain regular communication.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
• Maintain records of leads, prospects, follow-ups and conversions.
• Coordinate with the Mutual Fund Operations team for client onboarding and transaction-related activities.
• Assist in promoting the Artheek platform and its Mutual Fund services.
• Support marketing campaigns, investor awareness activities and lead-generation initiatives.
• Participate in meetings with potential investors and clients.
• Conduct basic market and competitor research related to Mutual Funds and investment products.
• Assist the team in achieving business development and client acquisition targets.
• Learn about different Asset Management Companies (AMCs), Mutual Fund categories and investment processes.
• Maintain professionalism while handling customer information and financial data.
